A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Or, a chevron Azure debruised by a pile Gules bearing a trident head palewise of the first. Attached on either side of the shield a bipartite Red scroll inscribed "DUST" on one side and "DEVILS" on the other side in Gold letters.
Gold/buff and scarlet are the colors traditionally associated with Support. The red pile simulates the configuration of a whirlwind or tornado while the trident or pitchfork alludes to the unit's motto and nickname "Dust Devils." The chevron is emblematic of support and strength. Red, yellow and blue, the colors of the three major Combat Arms, underscore combat readiness and the unit's support mission to the total Army and the National Training Center.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 30 January 1992.
